SUMMARY:BVU Community Choir
DESCRIPTION:The Broad View Community Choir is a 90-voice non-auditioned mixed-voice choir open to all. The choir is sponsored and managed by Broad View United Church\, which recognizes that community singing is a spiritual practice unto itself\, and that singing together creates joy\, fun\, connection\, and improves physical and mental health. We sing a variety of music: swing standards from the 40’s\, classic pop\, folk\, and R&B from the 60s and 70’s\, gospel\, folk and world music. \n \nThe choir is led by popular choir director Brian Tate and is accompanied by jazz pianist Ashley Wey. We offer a fall and spring concert accompanied by a combo of piano\, bass\, and drums. Although sheet music is provided\, music-reading ability is not necessary as there are practice tracks provided for all parts and the music is easy to learn. You are welcome to come and try us out before making a commitment. \nJoin with Google Meet: https://meet.google.com/oam-jnka-cxv \nLearn more about Meet at: https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/9282720
