At BVU, we delight in creating a safe, joyful, and welcoming space where children can discover God’s love, hear sacred stories, and explore their own gifts. Through play, creativity, music, and community life, children experience belonging and begin to grow in faith and wonder. We warmly invite families to join us as we nurture curiosity, kindness, and the seeds of lifelong discipleship.

Bring the whole family and join us for an evening of connection, fun, and community! Meet other BVU families, share a delicious meal, enjoy crafts and activities together, and wrap up the evening with story time and songs. A child-friendly dinner is provided, and we’ll do our best to accommodate dietary needs. Pre-registration is appreciated so we can prepare enough food, but last-minute guests are always warmly welcome!
Are you a parent, grandparent, or family member of a trans, non-binary, or Two-Spirit child? We’d love to welcome you! Join us on the third Wednesday of each month for an evening of connection, conversation, and a shared meal. Hosted in partnership with Saanich Neighbourhood Place, Gender Spectacular, and Trans Care BC, this free monthly gathering is open to families with 2S/Trans/Non-Binary loved ones—biological, chosen, foster, blended, and beyond. Registration is required, but there is no cost to attend. If you’re planning to join us for the first time, please contact the leader for registration details and the latest schedule information.
Join us for Camp Spirit 2026, an intercultural summer day camp where children experience sacred stories, arts and crafts, games, cultural activities, and exciting daily adventures. Throughout the week, campers will make dumplings, play pickleball and tennis, enjoy creative drama and improv workshops, experience a Chinese cultural performance, and explore a local thrift store. Camp Spirit takes place August 17–21, 2026, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Broad View United in Victoria, and is open to children ages 6–14. The camp fee is $50, with bursaries available from 25% to 100%. Registration includes lunch, snacks, and a Camp Spirit T-shirt. At Camp Spirit, we celebrate diversity, curiosity, friendship, and the joy of learning from one another.
Join us for Drop-in Playgroup, a welcoming place where parents, caregivers, and young children can play, learn, and connect in community. Held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30–11:00 am in The Hub, each gathering offers something a little different.
Mondays feature our Sing & Play program with rhymes, songs, stories, snacks, and free play. Wednesdays and Fridays include creative art activities, stories, dress-up, and imaginative play for children up to five years old, with a family support worker available to answer parenting questions, provide referrals, and offer support.
This shared initiative between Broad View United and Saanich Neighbourhood Place is free to attend, and no registration is required—simply drop in! Parents and caregivers are asked to stay and participate alongside their children.
